Hillary Clinton better start packing an overnight bag because she’s probably going to federal prison. It has come to light that the former Secretary of State personally authorized John Podesta, her campaign chairman, to launch the Trump-Russian dossier project.
According to a senior Clinton campaign staffer, Hillary personally approved Podesta’s decision to fund the dossier by “funneling campaign funds through Marc Elias.”
The strategist, who wishes to remain anonymous, really let the cat out of the bag on this one. He said, in part:
“The dossier was delivered to the Clinton campaign by [the opposition research firm] Fusion GPS in the summer of 2016, and Hillary read it and was thrilled by its salacious content.”
“She bragged about it so openly that many of the people in her Brooklyn campaign headquarters were aware of the existence of the dossier. Hillary referred to it as her ‘secret weapon’ that would ‘blow Trump out of the water.’”
The revelations don’t stop there, though. With Clinton’s full knowledge, senior staff members on her campaign staff, including manager Robby Mook, communications director Jennifer Palmieri, and press secretary Brian Fallon, leaked the dossier to the press and even members of Congress!
The source continued:
“They leaked the story that Trump secretly agreed with the Russians that, if elected, he would not interfere with the Russian takeover of the eastern section of Ukraine, and that he promised Putin he would end oil sanctions.”
The dossier itself was, in the final analysis, a crude and unreliable document. It’s purpose was never to accurately investigate or prove allegations against the President and his campaign, it was about creating a narrative to smear Trump’s credibility.
After the dossier was quietly disseminated among important newsmakers, it’s contents began appearing in print. In June 2016, the Leftist rag Mother Jones ran a story alleging links between Trump and Russia. Later that August, Harry Reid urged the FBI to investigate Trump’s ties to the Kremlin.
Even after Trump trounced Clinton and swept the the election, the campaign to discredit him continued in full force. In January of this year, BuzzFeed ran the full text of the dossier, and the mainstream media covered the “revelations” in full force.
As more details come to light and other sources speak out, this story will pick up steam. The old Biblical adage that “deeds done in the dark will come into the light” still holds true in this day and time.
