White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is well known for being fast talking and quick-witted but no one expected her to slip in a hilarious joke right before walking away from the podium on Tuesday.
It all started with a question asked my Newsmax’s chief political columnist John Gizzi, who phrased his query using a particular word that later had the entire room in stitches – especially the White House Press Secretary.
Gizzi asked Secretary Sanders if Dave Bowditch, who was appointed to his previous and current position under former Director James Comey, would have an issues moving up to be Deputy Director under Director Ray.
“Given the administration’s almost contumacious criticism of Mr. Comey…,” Gizzi paused and the entire room broke out into laughter over the unusual word, meaning disobedient to authority.
“Is there going to be any objection to Mr. Bowditch moving up to the number two under spot under Director Ray?” the White House correspondent finished asking.
With out missing a beat, Secretary Sanders said, “Ah, look I don’t have any personal announcements on that front but you definitely win the award for best and biggest word used in the briefing,” quipped Secretary Sanders before walking away from the podium.
